This type project was for me to explore the use of Modular shapes. Creating using a starting or inspiration to mould together a brand-new typeface.

For this, I was inspired by Lance Wyman’s wayfinding design. I wanted to represent this using basic directional arrows to form my module shapes to create my typeface. I would create the "Direct" typeface, inspired by wayfinding design, which I would use as my starting point as it is a common use of visual communication which I wanted to describe and transcribe into a modular design that I could make an entire alphabet using.

 

This would be then digitally mocked up and displayed by the Protein Studios as part of the brief. The outcome would be both the Poster design & a Digital Mockup.
